Morning Walk 7/3/15

This morning some of the girls got up early and decided to go on a prayer walk, and it was amazing! We went to some houses of the kids who went to the Eli house and prayed over them and their families outside of their houses. We also went to a canal which separated the houses that had electricity and water to the ones who didn’t. I went to the DR earlier this summer and went to some villages that were very poor but nothing like Mexico. It’s not just villages that are in extreme poverty; it’s a whole community. It broke my heart to see these houses that are made of cardboard and have tarps with bricks to hold them down for the roof. I stood there and just cried because of how blessed we really are. God has given me a loving family, a great home and amazing friends. Realizing that God has taken time to create each and every one of us for his glory is amazing, and to see these kids love God with all their heart makes me so happy. God still has so much in store for us and can’t wait for what the rest of the week holds! Thank you for all your love and support and please pray for the kids at the Eli house because if we aren’t praying for them, who is?

Sierra, what a great testimony. Your choice to go on a prayer walk this morning reminds me of the quote by Oswald Chambers, "Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work." Keep working for Christ in whatever way he leads! We are praying for you all!

Trenton, Grant, Chaney & Cameron- love and miss you but love that you're there! We're praying for you!
